Each year Necronomicon rewards designers and game masters of excellence with the Infinitas Awards.
These awards are voted on by attendees at the convention, and are for the categories of Best Freeform, Best Single Team Roleplaying Tournament, and Best Gamemaster.
The Best Gamemaster award recognizes the ability of a Gamemaster to present the material effectively. It is roughly equivalent to a "Best Actor / Best Director" award
The Best Freeform and Best Single Team Roleplaying Tournament Award recognizes the best game in both categories. These are equivalent to a "Best Film" award.
